BRAIDED MEDICINE INSTITUTE

Braided Medicine Institute is a residential professional training and research initiative based in northern Tanzania. The institute focuses on Traditional Chinese Medicine and African medical systems through supervised clinical instruction, field immersion, and structured professional education. It operates as a professional training initiative and does not function as a university or licensing body. 

Instruction combines residential immersion, supervised fieldwork, and structured coursework to support professional-level continuing education.

Braided Medicine Institute brings together clinical practitioners and traditional knowledge holders within a structured training environment. The clinical pathway focuses on supervised herbal preparation, therapeutic methods, and applied study of Traditional Chinese Medicine and African herbal systems.

Alongside this, the institute maintains a traditional knowledge pathway that creates space for engagement with experienced healers and elders. This component supports respectful dialogue, observation, and documentation of traditional practices while honoring cultural protocols and community authority. The goal is not extraction, but preservation, continuity, and professional exchange.
